Richard Foster is the Chief Executive and Vice President of L3Harris Technologies Canada. As such, he provides a focal point for L3Harris conducting business in Canada. Foster joined L3Harris in 2016 after 35 years of distinguished service in the Canadian Armed Forces, retiring as the Deputy Commander Royal Canadian Air Force at the rank of Major-General.
Active in the Canadian Defence and Security community, Foster served as Chair of the Board for AIAC in 2022 and again in 2023. Foster acknowledges the significant role of nuclear power in Canada’s energy landscape, recognizing its value through L3Harris’ long-standing participation in the robust Canadian nuclear supply chain. He advocates for extending the life of existing nuclear plants and increasing their deployment to combat climate change, ensure energy security, and promote industrial and economic development. For over 50 years, L3Harris has been a key member of this vital supply chain.
