Bala Pratap

With 37 years of global experience, Bala Pratap has held leadership roles in engineering, project management, business development, and P&L operations across sectors such as nuclear energy, oil & gas, aerospace, and power transmission. He currently serves as the President of Niagara Energy Products, where he oversees the company’s strategic direction, operational performance, and market expansion efforts, while leading business planning, policy governance, and organizational development. In this role, he also cultivates key relationships across industry and government to ensure the organization remains competitive and poised for long-term success. His previous roles include VP of Strategy and BD at AtkinsRealis, leading global nuclear project pursuits and digital transformation initiatives. At ABB, he managed multi-P&L units across Canada, Qatar, and Western Canada—delivering capital projects, integrating acquisitions, and pioneering engineered product solutions with Industrial Iot applications. He began his career in India’s aerospace and industrial sectors, progressing through engineering, project, and business development roles. His educational background includes an MBA from London Business School and dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science.
