Jarrod Shugg is the Vice-President & General Manager of Shawflex, a Mattr company, accountable for business unit safety, operations, employee development and financial performance commitments. Shawflex is the leading Canadian manufacturer of engineered Wire & Cable, and Assembly solutions serving critical Infrastructure and Industrial end markets, including a core focus in nuclear power. Shawflex has supplied into Canada’s CANDU nuclear fleet for over 30 years. Prior to joining Shawflex, Jarrod held a variety of senior leadership positions in Nuclear, Electricity Transmission & Distribution, and Oil & Gas industries, with mandates covering business development, product engineering, marketing, M&A and strategy. Jarrod holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Guelph, a Master of Engineering Science in Chemical Engineering from Western University, and an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
